wigs and things

The leaves have really started to turn into spectacular colours now and are falling off in droves. I spent hours raking the lawn on Monday. Unfortunately after a windy day on Tuesday the bloody lawn was covered with even more leaves than before. More raking for me then, but only after we (me, Alula & Kaya) have played in the leaves some more. They love it! I throw the leaves into the air and they jump up and try to catch it. We get very excited.

Here are some photos of a recent sunrise and the changing leaves

Apple glut in teh front garden & moss on the kitchen roof tiles

The dogs love the apples, so it's not going completely to waste. Every day when I play with the dogs in the garden I kick an apple around for each of them. They chase it like a ball, pick it up and run around with it in their mouths like delirious bunnnies before putting it down between their front paws. Then they start chomping. What they don't finish the birds and insects do.

The end of October was Halloween. We went to the cinema to watch a very gory horror: Saw 3D. It was every bit as bloody and cringe-worthy as we had hoped. Brilliant!

Sadly we did not go to a Halloween party (we're saving them for Canada), but we did dress up a bit. I got some wigs and stuff and this is how it turned out...

We shared a lovely bottle of Shiraz and made roasted chestnuts, as Mr Fluff demonstrates here
Of course the whippets got involved too. This is Alula as Demon Barbie!

See the expressions on Alula & Mr Fluff's faces HAHAHAHAHA

and Kaya gets a little cuddle from SpankySparkle

Next year I plan to go BIG with carved pumpkins, decor, sweets for the trick-or-treaters and SpankySparkle & Mr Fluff in full costume. If the wacky whippets are good I'll dress them up too.
Be afraid, be very afriad MWAHAHAHA (evil laugh)
